Part-Time Technology Delivery Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Technology Delivery Manager to coordinate our software development team and ensure projects, sprints and individual tasks are delivered on time and to the required standard.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong technology project management experience, excellent organizational skills and the confidence to hold team members accountable for agreed deadlines and outcomes.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily stand-up meetings with the development team.
- Plan and manage development sprints with clear targets, priorities and deadlines.
- Create, assign and track tasks in Jira from commencement through to completion.
- Ensure every task has a clearly defined owner, timeframe and expected outcome.
- Monitor developer progress and ensure the team remains focused on agreed sprint priorities.
- Identify and expand blockers, delays, dependencies and delivery risks.
- Conduct sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospective meetings.
- Follow up on overdue or incomplete tasks and hold team members accountable for delivery.
- Maintain accurate technical and project documentation in Confluence.
- Ensure important decisions, processes, requirements and development updates are documented.
- Coordinate communication between developers, contractors and the Managing Director.
- Confirm that completed work has been properly tested and verified before it is reported as complete.
- Track progress against project timelines, launch targets and business priorities.
- Improve development processes, delivery discipline and team accountability.
- Provide clear daily and weekly progress reports to the Managing Director.





Required Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated previous experience as a Technology Delivery Manager, IT Project Manager, Software Project Manager or similar role.
- Proven experience managing software development teams and technology projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Experience leading daily stand-ups and managing Agile development sprints.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to understand technical tasks, dependencies, risks and delivery requirements.
- Exceptional organization, prioritization and task-management skills.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Confidence following up with team members and holding them accountable for agreed deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems early and escape critical issues promptly.
- Proactive, dependable and highly structured.
- Comfortable reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Reporting Requirements

The Technology Delivery Manager will be responsible for providing:

- Daily reports covering completed tasks, work in progress, blockers, overdue items and immediate priorities.
- Weekly reports covering sprint progress, delivery status, team performance, project risks and priorities for the following week.
- Immediate escalation of serious delays, technical risks or issues that could affect delivery or launch timelines.

Important

This is a hands-on technology delivery position and is not a purely administrative project management role.

Previous technology project management or software delivery experience is essential.

The successful candidate must be available to work part-time from our Rosanna office. This role is not available remotely.
