Key Responsibilities

- Diagnosemechanicalfaultsacrossengines,transmissions,steeringandothervehiclesystems
- Inspectenginesandmechanicalcomponentstoidentifyfaults,damageandwear
- Remove,dismantleandinspectmechanicalassembliesasrequired
- Repair,replaceandrebuilddefectiveorwornvehiclecomponents
- Carryoutscheduledservicingandpreventativemaintenance
- Performoilchanges,lubrication,tune-upsandotherroutineservicingtasks
- Usecomputeriseddiagnosticequipmenttoidentifyandtroubleshootvehiclefaults




- Followmanufacturerspecifications,technicalinformationandserviceprocedures
- Testrepairedvehiclesandcomponentstoconfirmsafeandreliableoperation
- Completemechanicalrepairstoahighstandardwithattentiontodetail
- Identifyrepairsandmaintenancerequiredtokeepvehiclesroadworthy
- Maintainaccurateandprofessionalworkshoppractices
- Followworkplacehealth,safetyandenvironmentalrequirements

Requirements & Eligibility

- CertificateIIIorhigherqualificationinAutomotiveTechnology,MotorMechanicsorarelateddiscipline
- Minimum3yearsofrelevantpracticalexperienceasaMotorMechanic
- Demonstratedexperienceinvehicleservicing,diagnosticsandmechanicalrepairs
- Strongfault-findingandproblem-solvingabilities
- Experienceusingcomputerisedvehiclediagnosticequipment
- Goodunderstandingofmodernautomotivemechanicalsystems
- Abilitytointerprettechnicalandmanufacturerserviceinformation
- Strongattentiontodetailandcommitmenttoqualityworkmanship
- Abilitytoworkeffectivelybothindependentlyandwithinateam
