We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Junior/Trainee Site Manager to join our Geelong team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in residential construction, working alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers while learning all aspects of project delivery.

Whether you're currently working as a leading hand, carpenter, construction administrator, estimator, apprentice supervisor, site coordinator or have relevant building industry experience, this role provides a genuine pathway into site management.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with our Site Management team to learn and develop across all aspects of residential construction delivery.

You'll gain hands-on experience in:

- Site supervision and construction coordination

- Quality assurance inspections

- Safety management and compliance

- Trade and supplier coordination

- Project scheduling and workflow management

- Customer and stakeholder communication

- Defect identification and rectification

- Buildlab systems and reporting processes

- Construction administration and documentation

This is a field-based role that will see you regularly attending construction sites throughout the Geelong region.

What You'll Be Doing

Construction Coordination





- Assist with the daily management of residential construction sites.

- Support Site Managers in monitoring build progress and programme delivery.

- Coordinate trades, suppliers and inspections.

- Attend site meetings and assist in resolving construction issues.

Safety & Compliance

- Promote Buildlab's safety-first culture.

- Assist with site safety inspections and compliance activities.

- Ensure sites remain clean, organised and compliant with WHS requirements.

- Identify and escalation safety concerns.

Quality Assurance

- Participate in construction quality inspections.

- Assist in defect management and rectification activities.

- Develop an understanding of Australian Building Codes and construction standards.

- Learn Buildlab quality assurance processes and reporting requirements.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

- Support customer walkthroughs and inspection appointments.

- Build positive relationships with trades, suppliers and developer representatives.

- Assist with communication and follow-up of site activities.

Systems & Administration

- Learn and utilise Buildlab's construction management systems.

- Maintain accurate records, photos and site documentation.

- Assist with scheduling, reporting and construction administration tasks.

What We're Looking For

Essential





- Strong interest in residential construction and site supervision.

- Excellent organisation and time management skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to build positive relationships with trades and stakeholders.

- High attention to detail.

- Valid Victorian Driver's Licence.

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Highly Regarded

- Trade qualification or trade background.

- Experience in residential building or construction.

- Experience reading plans and construction documentation.

- Certificate IV in Building & Construction (or desire to obtain).

- Knowledge of residential construction methods and building standards.
