Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, the Warehouse Storeman will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Seaford warehouse, including inventory control, picking and dispatch, receivals, freight coordination and general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, organised and reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, check and put away incoming goods and raw materials.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with regular stocktakes.
- Ensure inventory transfers between locations are processed accurately and on time.
- Monitor stock movements and follow up discrepancies as required.
- Ensure all warehouse and freight documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all company OH&S;, operational policies, procedures and safety requirements.
About you
- Previous experience working in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience using an ERP or warehouse management system; Pronto experience would be highly regarded.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable and positive attitude.
- A solid commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
