We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our expanding team.

About the role

Reporting to the RTO Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services while ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025. Delivery will be face to face and held at one of our training locations in Sydney or itinerate onsite through Australia. You will play an important role in supporting learners throughout their training journey and contributing to the ongoing quality and continuous improvement of our training operations.

Scope of Delivery

You will be responsible for the delivery of one or more of the below skills sets/units of competency.

- MSMSS00017 - Use high pressure water jetting equipment
- MSMSS00018 - Operate a high pressure water jetting system
- MSMSS00019 - Operate a drain cleaning system
- MSMSS00020 - Operate a vacuum loading system
- NWPNET037 - Inspect sewer or stormwater assets
- NWPNET059 - Supervise and report on conduit inspections

Key responsibilities





- Deliver engaging and inclusive training programs in accordance with Asset Training's Training and Assessment Strategies.
- Conduct fair, valid, reliable and consistent assessments in accordance with the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners.
- Identify learner support needs and implement appropriate support strategies.
- Maintain accurate and compliant training and assessment records.
- Participate in assessment validation, moderation and quality assurance activities.
- Contribute to internal audits, compliance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain current vocational competency, industry currency and professional knowledge.
- Engage with employers, industry representatives and other stakeholders.

About you

- Vocational competencies at least to the level of the training products you deliver and assess.
- Current industry skills relevant to your vocational area.
- Current Trainer and Assessor credentials as required under the Standards for RTOs 2025.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
- A strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment.
- Knowledge of the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
