Handles the technical analysis of the components identified with the earth and also the determination and assessment of different geological risks

Job Statement

n

We are seeking to employ an Open Pit Mine Geologist, to join a high performing team in a growing company.

n

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will;

n

n
- Produce geological sections, plans, and long sections with interpreted and factual mapping of deposits.
n
- Develop and maintain geology and mineralisation wireframes.
n
- Map and document each mining bench, capturing geology, structure, and mineralisation.
n
- Generate mineable shapes (blocks) with minimal dilution and communicate extraction plans effectively with engineers and contractors, accounting for blast movement.
n
- Supervise mark-outs, ore extraction, and ore movements (dozing, grading) to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
n
- Ensure timely data entry, tracking, and reconciliation of ore movements for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
n
- Identify and classify inferred, indicated, and measured resources to meet mine requirements.
n




- Log all RC grade control holes to a high standard and within required timeframes.
n
- Design, set out, and implement RC drill programs to define lodes ready for mining.
n
- Mentor and support geology technicians, fostering career development.
n

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly In Fly Out roster from Perth to Leonora. Town based established accommodation in Leonora with outstanding camp facilities including, gym as well as town facilities.

About You

n

We are looking for a Mine Geologist who is highly motivated and enjoys working alongside likeminded professionals in a growing team and a growing company. Someone who is keen to share their knowledge whilst gaining exposure to multiple parts of the wider operation.

n

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following criteria;

n

- Qualification in Geology
n
- Driver's license (C Class, manual car)
n
- Experience in open pit gold mining
n
- Well-rounded technical and geology software skills
