We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and service-focused Retail Food & Beverage Attendant to join our Retail Outlets team within Property & Procurement Services.

The Retail Food and Beverage Attendant is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service and a positive customer experience across the Institute's Retail Outlets. The position contributes to efficient day-to-day operations, outlet presentation, food safety compliance and return patronage by ensuring customers receive welcoming, responsive and professional service.

The role is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, in accordance with established procedures. It also involves taking and processing orders, accurately handling cash and card transactions, supporting daily food preparation, maintaining product displays, assisting with stock control, and completing opening and closing requirements across the Institute's Retail Outlets, including Café 555, Tram Café, the Conference Centre and other outlets as required.

- Certificate III in Hospitality or a related qualification.
- Current food safety competency certification.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Completion of a trade certificate or Year 12 and demonstrated relevant experience, or equivalent relevant experience in a café, hospitality or food service environment.




- Demonstrated ability to prepare and serve quality espresso coffee and other beverages.
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent customer service tasks, including operating a point-of-sale system, preparing beverages, coordinating orders and serving customers efficiently.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygienic food handling practices and allergen requirements, together with a current Food Handler Certificate.
- Demonstrated awareness and application of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated behaviours aligned with the William Angliss Institute Values.
