About the Role

We are seeking a Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) Lead based in our Rowville office to provide HSSE leadership and technical support for Customer Services Field Operations across Australia, Current Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.

Reporting to the Regional HSSE Manager, this role will also see you providing support to our overhaul workshop, and you will be responsible for managing our HSSE management systems, Australian legal and regulatory compliance, site HSSE assessments, incident investigation, and practical risk reduction across field and facility operations.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can operate autonomously, and able to exercise sound judgement. They will bring strong knowledge of Australian health and safety compliance requirements, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with operational teams, leaders, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Partner with operational leaders, service teams, and regional stakeholders to drive a strong a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across field and facility operations.
- Provide expert HSSE advice, coaching, and guidance to support risk management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and support the implementation of global and regional HSSE programs,



ensuring alignment with company standards and business objectives.
- Conduct HSSE, environmental, and security assessments to identify risks, monitor compliance, and drive effective corrective actions.
- Lead and facilitate incident investigations, applying root cause analysis methodologies to identify corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and communicate high-quality HSSE reports, insights, and recommendations to support informed decision‑making and performance improvement.
- Monitor and support compliance with Australian WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, company policies, and customer-specific standards.
- Maintain and enhance emergency preparedness, business resilience, and security management programs across field and facility operations.
- Manage HSSE-related systems, registers, and reporting processes to ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and legal compliance.
- Champion proactive risk reduction strategies by ensuring employees and contractors have the tools, training, support, and controls required to perform work safely.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence positive HSSE outcomes.

Ability to travel 25–50% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications and experience:





- Qualifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety-relevant or Security discipline or similar
- Three to five years of related experience in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental fields; Oil & Gas and Power Generation industry experience would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety management systems and their application
- Experience with site assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and detailed reporting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret technical regulatory requirements
- Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to work autonomously, operate with integrity, and build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
