We're seeking an enthusiastic Laboratory Aide (Support Services) to join our Laboratory in Kogarah. You will be an essential member of our team, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Supporting the Specimen Reception Area through the accurate receipt, processing and distribution of pathology specimens.
n
- Performing data entry of patient demographics and pathology request information.
n
- Maintaining work area to accepted standards of work health and safety and maintaining all equipment in SRA.
n
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and a commitment to quality.
n




- Working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support within the scope of your training and capabilities.
n

We have a supportive learning environment, therefore prior experience is not required Full training will be provided.

n

We are looking for the following:

n

n
- Available to work full-time on a rotating roster between 6:30am and 9:00pm, Monday to Friday, with participation in weekend and public holiday shifts as required.
n
- A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
n
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player.
n
- A person with robust attention to detail, good time management skills and excellent communication skills.
n
- Previous laboratory experience, knowledge of Work Health & Safety and medical terminology is advantageous but not necessary.
