Port Macquarie Golf Club is well known for its Championship 18-hole golf course with an average of 70,000 rounds of golf played every year. We are seeking Greenkeepers to work with our friendly, safe and hardworking team on a Casual, part time or full time basis. Your week would give you the flexibility to enjoy the beautiful Port Macquarie afternoons and evenings. For the keen golfer, a club membership can be negotiated into your above award package.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and motivated, always striving for continuous improvement.

The Role

- Maintenance of all turf areas on the course to a high standard, inclusive of greens, tees, surrounds, bunkers, fairways, roughs and out of play areas
- Proficient in course set-up.
- Mentor and guide the career development of all apprentices.




- Carry out turf renovation, including scarifying, coring, dethatching, and sanding as required
- Assist in any other areas on the club’s property as directed by the Course Superintendent
- Safely apply pesticides and fertilizers when required
- Irrigation management
- Use of agronomic course requirements to set course maintenance
- Follow and implement safe workplace practices

Experience

- Competent to work alone and as part of a team
- Display strong attention to detail in their work
- Relevant experience in golf course maintenance.
- Excellent work history and reliability.
- Positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude.

The position is to include being rostered over the weekends.
