Delta Group is seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality survey and set-out services across our projects.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Project Foreman, you will manage the project's day-to-day surveying requirements, ensuring works are accurately set out, monitored, and delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and scope.

About the Role

As Project Surveyor, you will provide accurate, timely surveying support throughout the project lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking day-to-day site set-out and general surveying requirements
- Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications
- Preparing survey calculations and set-out information ahead of planned works
- Undertaking construction set-out, survey control and as-built surveys
- Collecting and compiling as-built survey information and plans
- Using and maintaining survey equipment, including Leica TPS and GPS equipment
- Ensuring all survey equipment remains within required calibration requirements
- Coordinating survey activities and movement between sites as required
- Ensuring ITP requirements and nominated hold points are verified prior to works proceeding
- Working closely with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Foremen and Senior Surveyors to achieve project targets

What You'll Bring





To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of technical surveying capability, construction experience and a proactive approach.

You will have:

- A Diploma or Associate Degree in Surveying or a related discipline as a minimum
- Demonstrated experience working in a surveying role, ideally within the construction industry
- Experience using Leica TPS and GPS survey equipment
- Experience in construction set-out, survey control and as-built surveys
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- The ability to undertake your own calculations, reporting and drafting
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A motivated, self-starting approach with the ability to take ownership of your work
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and achieving project outcomes
- A current White Card

You will be supported by our Project Manager, State Manager and Senior Surveyors, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop your surveying and construction experience while working on challenging projects.
