Job Description

Investment & Fund Operations

n

n
- Manage operational requirements across a portfolio of public and private market investments.
n
- Coordinate the end-to-end subscription and onboarding process for new private market investments.
n
- Review investment documentation and coordinate legal, tax and operational due diligence with external advisers.
n
- Manage KYC, AML and information requests from investment managers and counterparties.
n
- Coordinate capital calls and distributions and ensure transactions are accurately reflected across accounting and investment records.
n
- Oversee trade confirmations, settlements, investment pricing and reconciliations.
n
- Reconcile private market investment records against underlying manager and capital statements.
n
- Prepare and review regular private market and investment reporting.
n
- Provide support across management, performance and cashflow reporting.
n

Governance & Compliance

n

n
- Maintain and enhance the organisation's governance and compliance framework.
n
- Review existing policies and develop new policies, procedures and controls as the business evolves.
n
- Establish practical processes to monitor ongoing compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations.
n
- Coordinate regulatory requirements associated with the organisation's investment activities and licensing arrangements.
n




- Manage regulatory correspondence and information requests where required.
n
- Coordinate corporate governance requirements including board and committee documentation, resolutions and statutory records.
n
- Manage relevant insurance policies and renewals.
n
- Support payroll-related compliance obligations including payroll tax and workers compensation.
n

Audit, Tax & Financial Oversight

n

n
- Take ownership of the external audit process, coordinating internal stakeholders and external auditors through to completion.
n
- Assist in developing and maintaining an appropriate internal audit and control framework.
n
- Coordinate with Australian and international tax advisers to ensure tax obligations are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
n
- Oversee recurring tax and statutory requirements including BAS and FBT.
n
- Support the appropriate accounting and tax treatment of investment activity, including capital calls, distributions and private market transactions.
n
- Coordinate specialist advice for more complex international investment and tax matters.
n

The Successful Applicant

n

Ideally, you will bring:

n

n
- Approximately 7+ years' experience across funds management, investment management, private markets, financial services or a related environment.
n
- A strong accounting or finance foundation,



ideally supported by CA, CPA or equivalent qualifications.
n
- Experience within investment operations, fund accounting, fund finance, financial control or a similarly broad position.
n
- Exposure to private market investments such as private equity, private credit, property, infrastructure or other alternatives.
n
- Understanding of capital calls, distributions, investment reconciliations and fund/investment reporting.
n
- Experience coordinating external audit, tax advisers and other professional service providers.
n
- Exposure to governance, compliance, risk or regulatory requirements within an investment environment.
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence dealing with trustees, lawyers, auditors, tax advisers, investment managers and other counterparties.
n
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the broader commercial implications of your work.
n
- Experience with AFSL requirements, private market subscription documentation, international investment structures or US-based funds would be advantageous but is not essential.
n
