We're looking for a reliable and caring Part-Time Laundry Services Assistant to join the team at Respect Chaffey House in Merbein.

n

This is more than simply washing, drying and folding clothes. Your work will help ensure our residents feel comfortable, cared for and at home every day.

About the Role

n

As a Laundry Services Assistant, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day wellbeing of our residents by ensuring their clothing, linen and personal laundry is handled with care.

n

You'll be responsible for:

n

n
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing residents' laundry and linen.
n
- Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
n
- Ensuring laundry is returned to residents promptly and respectfully.
n
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and well-organised laundry area.
n
- Following infection control, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
n
- Correctly handling laundry chemicals and cleaning products.
n
- Treating residents' personal belongings with care, dignity and respect.
n
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to help create a welcoming, homelike environment.

Who We're Looking For

n

We're looking for someone who is kind,



dependable and takes pride in their work.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

n
- Training or experience in laundry operations or a similar support role.
n
- Knowledge of hygiene, infection control and safe chemical handling.
n
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
n
- A reliable and positive approach to your work.
n
- The ability to work respectfully with older people and as part of a team.
n
- Experience in residential aged care or a similar setting is highly regarded.
n

A current National Police Certificate, or the ability to obtain one, is required.

n

To be considered for employment with Respect, candidates must also satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
