Your primary responsibilities will include the provision of safe and high-quality clinical care, comprehensive medication management, and the ongoing monitoring of residents' health conditions. Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to elderly residents, especially those with complex and changing health conditions.
n
- Deliver clinical care such as medication administration, wound care, chronic disease management and palliative care, in line with best practice.
n
- Assist residents and their families to make informed decisions about their care, ensuring their wishes and preferences are respected.
n
- Respond promptly and professionally to any changes in residents' conditions and to clinical emergencies.
n
- Work closely with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to assess care needs and develop individualised aged care plans.
n




- Review and update care plans regularly to reflect changing health status and personal goals.
n
- Ensure all nursing activities, progress notes and observations are clearly and accurately documented according to policy and legislative requirements.

- Supervise and mentor Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Workers and other support staff to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery.
n
- Provide clear clinical direction and guidance, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
n
- Support staff to develop their knowledge and skills in aged care best practice.
n
- Maintain a safe, supportive and homelike environment that promotes residents' health, comfort, security and quality of life.
n
- Uphold residents' privacy, dignity, cultural identity and individual choices always.
n
- Comply with all relevant aged care standards, policies and procedures to ensure the highest levels of care quality and safety.
n
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the resident experience.
n
- Take part in ongoing training and professional development to keep up to date with aged care best practices, policies and regulatory requirements.

- Actively contribute to a positive workplace culture focused on learning, respect and excellence in care.

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
n
- Minimum 1 year of practical nursing experience, ideally in residential or community aged care.
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (current or dated within five years).
n
- Fully vaccinated for influenza (annually) and COVID-19.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care principles.
n
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
n
- Own reliable transport.
n
- Commitment to long-term employment in a caring, community-focused aged care setting.
