An exciting opportunity is available for a highly organised, proactive and personable Executive Assistant to support the HR Director and provide broader coordination support to the HR Leadership Team and wider HR function. This is a 12 months contract with strong potential of on-going extension.
This is a fantastic entry point into the world of HR, offering exposure to strategic decision-making, senior stakeholder engagement and the inner workings of a high-performing HR team.
You’ll gain valuable experience while developing foundational skills that can support a long-term career in EA, business partnering, people operations or corporate support.
About the Role
Working closely with the HR Director and HR Leadership Team, you will provide high-quality executive and coordination support while helping ensure the HR function operates efficiently and effectively.
This is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to build your professional skills, work with senior stakeholders and gain practical exposure to a broad range of HR activities.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support to the HR Director
- Manage the HR Director's complex and dynamic calendar, proactively resolving scheduling conflicts and prioritising competing demands
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense reporting
- Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, presentations, reports, and board papers
- Act as the first point of contact for the HR Director, screening and triaging enquiries with professionalism and discretion
- Coordinate and prepare materials for leadership meetings, town halls,
and executive reviews
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity
- Track action items and follow-ups on behalf of the HR Director, ensuring deadlines are met
About You
- A recent tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with Teams and SharePoint is a plus
- A professional, discreet, and mature approach to handling confidential information
- A positive, can-do attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for building a career in HR
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, energetic corporate environment
