Hornibrooks Tools & Fasteners is a supplier to the building and construction industry. We supply construction Fasteners and Power Tools as well as having an in house repair service. An opportunity is available to join our Workshop Team.

About the role

You'll be in our workshop, repairing, fault finding, answering customer enquiries and keeping the workshop running smoothly. This is a hands-on role working with major brand power tools

Key responsibilities

- Working with hand and power tools
- Tool repairs, diagnosing and fault finding
- Booking tools in and entering jobs into our system
- Looking at Spare Parts Diagrams to order parts
- Preparing completed tools for dispatch
- Assisting with stock and general workshop duties
- Keeping the service centre organised and running efficiently

About you

- Reliable, practical and enjoys working with their hands
- Experience using hand and power tools
- An interest or experience in repairs, diagnosing and fault finding
- Strong attention to detail




- Reliability is important — turning up, being on time and being someone the team can count on
- A background or qualification in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical fields — desirable

Skills and experience required

- Restricted electrical license or appliance electrical testing licence an advantage, but not essential
- A strong technical/mechanical aptitude and keen interest in repairing electrical products.
- A strong technical aptitude with problem solving skills
- Ability to work to set KPI's and self-manage time
- Excellent personal presentation and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills
- Work with well known brands
- Monday to Friday — 9.00am to 5:30pm
- Hands-on work with power tools and repairs
- Friendly team environment
- Prospect to build your technical skills and knowledge
