ABOUT THE ROLE - Commercial Export Pricing Lead

- Manage all commercial export pricing for FCL and LCL, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
n
- Apply intentional margin thinking to each quote, not generic rules.
n
- Train and guide the global resource team (GRC) to support back-office quoting functions and standard tasks.
n
- Support carrier rate discussions and negotiations, while ensuring all engagement remains centralised under procurement leadership.
n
- Implement key strategic procurement initiatives that strengthen our overall carrier position.
n
- Maintain awareness of allocation, service reliability, space conditions, and carrier direction.
n
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all export carrier trade lines.
n




- Keep track of vessel rotations, transit times, ports, service strengths, and weekly schedule changes.
n
- Support Sales with timely and competitive pricing options and guidance.
n
- Provide structured pricing logic and recommendations to the export team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

- Experience in a centralised procurement or pricing environment.
n
- Exposure to process automation or tech-enabled quoting workflows.
n
- Strong export sea freight experience across both FCL and LCL.
n
- Proven ability to negotiate with carriers.
n
- Strong commercial mindset around pricing and margin management.
n
- High competence with CargoWise quoting.
n
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple quotes under time pressure.
n
- Transparent communication and confidence with internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Experience in preparing pricing strategies or supporting procurement functions.
n
