Where you'll be working

Join the Sydney West and Greater Southern (SWAGS) Psychiatry Training Network and play a key role in supporting a large and diverse psychiatry training network spanning metropolitan, regional and rural NSW.

Based at Cumberland Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District, you'll work alongside the Director of Training and Site Coordinators of Training across a unique network of LHDs, NGOs and private services. Cumberland Hospital is NSW's largest and Australia’s oldest mental health facility, with a proud history of delivering innovative, respectful and high-quality mental health care.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied and challenging role where no two days are the same. You'll use your exceptional organisation, communication and problem-solving skills to coordinate the delivery of a complex psychiatry training program and ensure trainees receive a high-quality, well-supported training experience.

- Coordinate trainee rotations, education programs, recruitment activities and accreditation requirements across the network.

- Manage complex trainee, workforce and supervision data, ensuring information is accurate, current and readily available for reporting and governance.

- Coordinate education activities including lectures, grand rounds, journal clubs, workshops and examination preparation programs.

- Support Network Governance Committees, RANZCP accreditation activities and reporting requirements, ensuring recommendations and training standards are effectively managed.

- Respond to emerging trainee needs, navigate competing priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders to continually improve the training program.
