We provide free digital mental health support services and run a variety of mental health awareness, stigma reduction, research, and advocacy programs. We support diverse workforce segments, including those living with complex mental health issues, and the broader community. We are 100+ people with a volunteer work force of circa 60 people.

About the role
You will be working with a dynamic team to uplift the WHS documents, evaluation ofcurrentcontrols andwillsupportthe implementation of enhanced safety protocols, as well as ensuring best practice across the organisation. Working closely with leaders in the business, you will provide advice and support on all People and Culture functions, including recruitment, awards, employe relations and work health and safety.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Undertake a review of SANE's WHS systemsand processes, providing a report on current stateand proposing quality improvement activities.
- Support People & Culture activities across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment,onboardingand performance processes asrequired.
- Provide high quality, accurate advice to managers in relation to award interpretations, ER matters and employment life cycle activities
- Monitororganisationalcompliance with WHSPolicyand procedures,through regular reporting and auditing.
- LeadWHShazard andincident management processes, including reporting,consultation,investigations, correctiveactionsand trend analysis.
- Coordinate workplace risk management activities, including physical and psychosocial hazard identification, consultation, implementation,monitoringand evaluation ofcontrol measures.
- Provide expert WHS advice, coaching and support to leaders and employeesasrequired.
- Prepare and analyse WHS, wellbeing and workforce metrics to support organisational decision-making and continuous improvement.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Work Health and Safety, Business,Psychologyor a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safetyor equivalent
- At least 3 years' experiencein a generalist People & Culture role with significant responsibility for WHS, wellbeing and compliance initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary WHS frameworks, risk management principles and psychosocial health and safety requirements.
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to buildandmaintaintrusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Ability to apply flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
