About the role

We are seeking a curious and analyticalPractice Specialist toprovide specialist expertise in data analysis, quality improvement and evidence-informed practice, tostrengthen the quality, safety and effectiveness of our mental health and crisis support services.

Working across the organisation, you'll develop reporting and visualisation tools that turnclinical, quality and service data into meaningful insights, helping identify trends, risks and opportunities tosupport quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

You'll support accreditation readiness against the National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards (NSQDMHS), andcontribute to the development, review and implementation of evidence-informed policies, procedures and practice guidance, translating complex requirements into practical approaches that can be embedded into everyday practice.

Key responsibilities:

Transform data into meaningful insights by developing and maintaining qualitydashboards, reports and performance indicators using Power BI, Excel and Power Automate, helping leaders make informed decisions that improve service quality and outcomes.

Analyse clinical, quality and service data, incidents, audits and feedback to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities to strengthen practice and service quality.

Apply quality improvement methodologies to enhance practice, service delivery and outcomes for consumers and help-seekers.

- Provide specialist expertise in data analysis, clinical quality and evidence-informed practice improvement across Service Delivery.

Develop and maintain policies, procedures, protocols and practice guidelines;translating legislation, accreditation requirements and emerging evidence into practical, workable solutions.

Support audits, quality reviews,



practice monitoring activities and accreditation readiness, using data and evidence to guide meaningful improvement actions.

Createevidence-informed practical resources, recommendations and guidance that promote safe, consistent and high-quality service delivery across the organisation.

Stay up to date with developments in mental health, suicide prevention, digital service delivery, clinical governance and quality improvement to ensure best-practice approaches are embedded.

Collaborate closely with operational leaders andteams to drive a culture of continuous improvement, contributing specialist practice and quality perspectiveto key projects and change initiatives.

About you

You are a curious and analytical practice professional who is motivated by improving quality and safety, moving comfortably between data, evidence, policy and the realities of practice to identify meaningful opportunities for improvement.

- A tertiary qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or another relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health, suicide prevention, crisis support or a related human services environment.
- Strong competency in Power BI, Excel and Power Automate, with demonstrated experience applying these tools to analyse, manage, visualise and report data for quality improvement and assurance purposes.
- A solid grasp of clinical quality, clinical governance,



quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies, with demonstrated experience applying these principles within a complex service environment.
- Experience developing, reviewing and implementing clinical, quality or operational policies, procedures and practice guidelines, and translating legislation, standards and risk information into practical requirements.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sound judgement,ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a complex service environment.
- A commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and culturally protected practice.

Highly regarded:

- Experience supporting accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQDMHS) or other relevant quality standards.
- Experience in digital mental health, telehealth, crisis support or other technology-enabled service environments.
- Experience developing or implementing clinical governance, quality assurance or organisational quality frameworks.
- Postgraduate qualifications or additional training in clinical governance, quality improvement, data analytics, health service management, mental health or a related discipline.

What we Offer

- Salary packaging benefits of up to$15,900 per FBT year (1 April to 31 March), tax-free; and
- An additional salary packaging cap of up to $2,650 per FBT year, generally available for eligible meal entertainment expenses, such as dining, holiday accommodation and venue hire.
