About The Role

As Parabellum International continues to grow, we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Procurement Officer to establish and manage our procurement capability. Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of procurement and supply chain activities while working closely with sales, operations and warehouse teams. This is a great chance for an early-career procurement professional ready to take the next step. As the first dedicated procurement resource within the business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping processes, building supplier relationships, and driving improvements across purchasing, inventory management, freight logistics and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

- Source goods and services in line with business requirements, quality standards and budgets.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, pricing and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and supplier agreements.
- Support supplier selection, onboarding and ongoing performance management.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.

Supplier Relationship Management

- Develop strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and logistics partners.




- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day supplier communications.
- Resolve supply, pricing and delivery issues effectively and professionally.
- Maintain supplier documentation and support contract administration activities.

Inventory & Back Order Management

- Monitor open purchase orders and supplier delivery commitments.
- Proactively manage back orders and minimise impacts on customers and operations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to communicate stock availability and expected delivery dates.
- Assist with inventory forecasting and replenishment planning.

Freight & Logistics Coordination

- Coordinate domestic and international freight movements.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport providers.
- Track shipments and proactively manage delivery delays.
- Ensure shipping documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Identify freight optimisation and cost-saving opportunities.

Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Maintain accurate procurement, inventory and supplier records.
- Generate procurement, inventory and logistics reports for management.
- Assist in developing procurement policies, procedures and controls.
- Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance visibility, efficiency and scalability across the supply chain.

About You

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring





- Approximately 3 years experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory, logistics or supply chain roles.
- Experience processing purchase orders and managing supplier relationships.
- Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Experience coordinating freight and shipment activities.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP system skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

Desirable Experience

- Exposure to international suppliers and global supply chains.
- Knowledge of import/export processes and freight documentation.
- Experience within defence, mining, energy, construction or industrial sectors.
- Qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related field.
