Job Description

An outstanding chance exists for an operationally driven and commercially savvy Regional Manager to lead a full-service utility civil contracting business in South Australia completely resourced to undertake the construction of water and sewer reticulation and infrastructure across urban developments and capital infrastructure projects.

Our client offers a complete end to end project management solution for water, sewer and gas utilities within the civil construction industry. Delivery of projects from planning, construction, compliance and maintenance; managing and coordinating all aspects of utility infrastructure across water and sewer sectors to suit the different requirements of the market.

Our client is also part of a leading national civil construction group, with a differentiated market presence in South Australia and the East Coast through its vertical integration and comprehensive self-performing capabilities; large-scale earthmoving plant and a dominant position in urban development and civil infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the National General Manager, this senior role is responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, client partnerships and financial performance across a diverse portfolio of urban development and future infrastructure projects in SA.

Key Responsibilities

n

Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with the company's national objectives.

n

Provide leadership and direction for the South Australian business direction in line with business plans and performance measures.

n

Deliver annual revenue, project job cost management, quality management, profitability and growth targets.

n

Manage regional budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control and risk management.

n

Lead and mentor a high-performing team of operations manager,



projects and operational staff.

n

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, developers, consultants, government agencies and industry stakeholders.

n

Ensure all operations comply with WHS legislation, environmental standards and company policies.

n

Represent the company within the South Australian civil construction industry and broader business community.

n

Support succession planning, workforce development and employee engagement across the region.

n

Essential Experience & Qualifications

n

Minimum 15 years' experience in civil construction, with significant experience in water and sewer construction.

n

Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline.

n

Extensive experience delivering water and sewer utilities across subdivisions, roads, and infrastructure projects.

n

Proven track record of managing multi-site project portfolio.

n

Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.

n

Strong understanding of estimating, project controls, budgeting and financial reporting.

n

Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

n

Comprehensive understanding of WHS legislation, environmental compliance and risk management.

n
