About the role

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young Aboriginal people and their families.

The Caseworker Adolescent Family Violence provides culturally safe, assertive outreach and case management to young people who use violence within the family. You will work alongside young people and their families to reduce family violence risk, strengthen relationships, build positive coping strategies and create safer, healthier futures.

This is a full time ongoing position based at our Mildura office location.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide responsive,



culturally appropriate case management and outreach support.
- Support young people to develop respectful communication, coping skills and positive behaviour change.
- Identify and respond to family violence risk and escalated safety concerns where required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, DFFH and other community agencies.
- Maintain accurate case notes, data and reporting requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

- Experience working with young people and families with complex needs.
- Strong case management, communication and relationship building skills.
- An understanding of family violence, trauma-informed practice and risk management.
- The ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, services and communities.
- Family violence experience and MARAM training are highly regarded, but not essential. If your willing to undertake the required training, we encourage you to apply

- Current National Police Check.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's Licence
