Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer to join our team, working on-site with one of our key clients in the financial services sector. This role is available on either a permanent or contract basis and offers the chance to work on mission-critical trading and risk systems within a leading financial institution. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain financial software solutions on the Calypso platform, playing a key role in customizing and extending core Calypso functionality to meet complex business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain financial software applications using the Calypso platform
n
- Write Java code to customize Calypso engines, workflows, and business logic
n
- Develop and maintain scheduled tasks, custom reports, and APIs within Calypso
n
- Undertake system integration work, connecting Calypso with upstream/downstream systems
n
- Perform database management tasks, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning
n
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across Calypso modules (trading, risk, settlements, etc.)
n
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
n
- Participate in code reviews, testing,



and deployment activities

- Liaise directly with client stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress and technical solutions

Your experience and qualifications

n

n
- 6+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on experience with Java development
n
- Proven experience working with the Calypso platform (development, customization, or support)
n
- Experience with system integration (messaging, APIs, file-based interfaces, etc.)
n
- Experience with scheduled/batch job development and custom reporting within Calypso
n
- Understanding of financial products such as FX, Money Markets, Derivatives, Fixed Income, or Repo (preferred)
n
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment
n
- Experience in the banking or capital markets domain
n
- Exposure to Calypso APIs, BOF (Business Object Framework), and Calypso configuration
n
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
n
- Prior experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery roles
