Coringle Furniture is seeking a talented Furniture Upholsterer / Wood Machinist / Cabinet Maker to join our skilled team in Ringwood, VIC. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work across multiple facets of bespoke furniture creation, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. In this role, you will be integral to producing high-quality furniture pieces that reflect our commitment to excellence and attention to detail. You will work in a collaborative environment where your expertise in upholstery, wood machining, and cabinet making will be valued and developed.

Key responsibilities

- Operate and maintain wood machining equipment to cut, shape and prepare timber components according to specifications and technical drawings
- Construct and assemble cabinet frames, drawers and joinery using traditional and contemporary techniques
- Upholster furniture pieces with fabric and leather, ensuring high standards of finish and durability
- Prepare materials and components for production, including measuring, cutting and finishing
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and company specifications before completion
- Maintain workshop equipment and tools in safe, clean and working condition
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines
- Apply finishing techniques including staining, varnishing and polishing to achieve desired results
- Contribute to a safe working environment by following health and safety procedures and best practices

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in furniture upholstery, wood machining, or cabinet making within the trades and services industry
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating wood machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques,



timber properties and upholstery methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to bespoke project requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications or qualifications in woodworking or upholstery
- A commitment to health and safety practices within the workshop environment
- Ideally, experience working with bespoke or custom furniture production
