The Governance & Capability Lead supports the development of organisational capability, operational consistency and continuous improvement across Next Green Group and Next Business Energy. Working across multiple business functions, the role assists with the development of training materials, procedures, work instructions, and governance documentation while supporting business improvement, transformation, and regulatory compliance activities. The role provides an prospect to develop practical experience across governance, compliance, risk, customer outcomes, and operational improvement within a growing energy business.

Key responsibilities

- Support the development and maintenance of procedures, work instructions, and guidance materials
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve business processes, operational consistency, and customer outcomes
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of governance frameworks and scalable business practices
- Assist with governance documentation, record management and improvement activities arising from reviews, incidents, complaints, and business change
- Develop and maintain learning materials, training resources, and capability programs
- Assist with onboarding and role-based learning pathways
- Support the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and awareness activities
- Help identify training needs and maintain training records and capability documentation
- Support process improvement, transformation, and system implementation initiatives




- Assist with the implementation of new processes and operational controls

About you

- Experience in energy, utilities, or another regulated industry (essential)
- Experience developing procedures, work instructions, training materials, or similar operational documentation (essential)
- Exposure to governance, risk, compliance, project delivery, or transformation activities (essential)
- Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across different business functions
- Experience in training, capability development, or onboarding (desirable)
- Experience in process improvement, operations, quality assurance, or customer service (desirable)
