Electrical Apprentice 3rd Year or Technical Assistant - TA

Elite Solutions Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Electrical Apprentice (3rd Year) OR Trades Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Peakhurst, NSW location. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to further develop your electrical skills and knowledge within a supportive, professional environment. Whether you are progressing through your final year of apprenticeship or stepping into a technical assistant role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality electrical solutions to our clients.

What you'll be doing

n

In this role, you will be responsible for:

n

Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components on residential and commercial projects

n

Supporting qualified electricians in the planning and execution of electrical work in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and regulations

n

Performing testing and fault-finding on electrical installations using appropriate equipment and tools

n

Preparing job sites, organising tools and materials, and ensuring work areas are kept protected and tidy

n

Liaising with site supervisors and clients to understand project requirements and timelines

n

Maintaining accurate records of work completed and time spent on projects

n

Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting health and safety initiatives on site

n

Continuing your technical development through on-the-job training and formal education as required

n

What we're looking for

n

To succeed in this position, you should have:

n

Completion of your 2nd year electrical apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification, with a commitment to completing your 3rd year or pursuing further technical development

n

A sound understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, and safe working practices in the electrical trades

n

Competency in the use of hand tools, power tools,



and electrical testing equipment

n

Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008) and electrical safety regulations

n

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately

n

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically through complex tasks

n

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

n

A valid driver's licence for travelling between job sites

n

Enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to continuous professional development
