What is the opportunity?

n

As Keystone continues to grow its Brisbane presence,



they are looking for a Construction Lawyer with around 2–3 years' PAE to join the team.

n

This is an opportunity to build genuine construction law expertise while working alongside experienced lawyers on a diverse range of matters.

n

Depending on your existing experience, your work may include:

n

- Construction contracts and commercial agreements
n
- Contract review, drafting and negotiation
n
- Construction disputes and claims
n
- Payment disputes and security of payment matters
n
- Defects, delays and variations
n
- Building and construction litigation
n
- General commercial advice to construction industry clients
n

You won't simply sit behind a senior lawyer doing background work. You'll have the opportunity to become genuinely involved in matters, deal directly with clients and progressively take greater ownership as your experience develops.

The client base is varied, ranging from privately owned businesses through to larger organisations operating across the construction and property sectors.

n

You'll be joining an experienced team that will give you the support you need while also providing the opportunity to step up, challenge yourself and continue building your career.

About You

n

n
- 2–3 years' PAE, ideally with experience in construction law, commercial litigation or a related practice area.
n
- An interest in construction – you want to develop genuine expertise within the sector.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication – able to provide clear, practical advice and communicate confidently with clients.
n
- Commercial thinking – you understand that clients are looking for solutions and outcomes, not just legal answers.
n
- Good time management – comfortable managing competing matters, priorities and deadlines.
n
- Attention to detail – you take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
n
- A team mindset – collaborative, approachable and willing to contribute.
n
- A growth mindset – open to feedback, keen to learn and ready to take on more responsibility as you develop.
