Pathway to Qualified Crane Truck Driver

Barwon Timber is seeking a motivated and reliable HR Delivery Driver to join our transport team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring qualified driver who wants to build a long-term career in transport, customer service and building product delivery, with the opportunity to progress toward becoming a qualified crane truck driver.

About the Role

As an HR Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering building materials to customer sites and unloading safely in accordance with Barwon Timber procedures.
- Obeying all road rules and regulations while professionally representing Barwon Timber.
- Working safely and complying with SWMS, company policies and procedures.
- Completing vehicle safety checks and reporting maintenance requirements.
- Maintaining clean, safe and well-presented vehicles and equipment.
- Assisting with transfers of product between sites and mills when required.
- Supporting yard operations, including order picking, customer service and stock handling when required.
- Contributing to a positive team environment and helping where needed across the business.

About You

You are someone who:

- Holds a current HR Licence.
- Holds a current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Takes pride in safety, presentation and quality workmanship.
- Is reliable,



self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Has strong attention to detail and can follow procedures consistently.
- Is keen to learn and develop a long-term career in transport and logistics.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Forklift Licence (LF).
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Experience in the timber, hardware or building supply industry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
