Are you passionate about combating fraud and protecting individuals from scams? We are seeking a dedicated Fraud & Scams Officer to join a Big 4 Bank in Bedford Park, commencing on Monday 12th October 2026. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying, investigating, and providing service to customers who are experiencing suspicious or fraudulent activities on their banking products.

Key Responsibilities

- Inbound and outbound calls from customers in relation to card and digital fraud, scams, merchant fraud and any dispute matters
n
- Provide guidance and support to individuals who have been victims of fraud
n
- Monitor phone, internet banking, credit card, cheque, merchant fraud and transactional alerts for fraud and scam activity
n
- Create scam and fraud files for case management
n
- Refund and recover funds
n
- Reporting fraudulent customers to regulatory bodies
n
- Follow compliance and regulation protocols
n
- Analyse data to identify patterns and trends related to fraudulent activities
n

About you:

- Previous experience in fraud investigation or a related field
n
- Investigative mindset
n
- Empathetic nature
n
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team workplace
n
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
n
- Ability to work across a 6am - midnight roster
n
