24 Hour Priority Care Australia (24HPCA) are looking for experienced, qualified, and professional Residential Youth Support Workers to work in Residential Youth Homes situated in all suburbs of Melbourne and regional Victoria.

About the role

As a Residential Care Worker, you will provide trauma-informed, day-to-day support to young people with complex behaviours, assisting them to develop independent living skills while maintaining a safe, stable, and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide trauma-informed therapeutic support to children and young people (17 years and under) with complex behaviours
- Support development of daily living, independent living, and social skills
- Transport young people to school, appointments, and community activities
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive home environment
- Act as a positive role model and mentor
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual support plans
- Maintain accurate case notes, progress notes, and incident reports
- Encourage appropriate family and community engagement
- Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and compliance standards

About you:

- Experience working with children and young people in residential or community care settings




- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Ability to manage complex behaviors with resilience and professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young peopleAvailability for casual shifts, including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays

Mandatory Qualifications:

- 1. Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Diploma Community Services or similar.
- CHCMHS007- Work effectively in trauma informed care.
- CHCPRT 009 (CHCPRT033)- Provide primary residential care/Provide support to children and youth in out-of-home care.
- CHCCCS009- Facilitate responsible behaviour.
- CHCPRT010 (CHCPRT034)- Work with children and young people with complex trauma and attachment issues and needs.

The following are also required to obtain employment with 24 Hour Priority Care Australia:

- Current First Aid Certificate with up-to-date CPR
- Minimum P2 - Victorian Driver's License
- HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with Medication
- Valid Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- Right to work or equivalent
- Reliable transport to travel between locations at short notice
