Holmes Plumbing Company is a growing Melbourne plumbing company delivering commercial, residential, civil and hydraulic projects across Melbourne.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Plumbing Project Coordinator to join our team.
This is more than an administration role. You will play an important part in the successful delivery of our projects, working directly with managers, supervisors, plumbers, builders, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

The Role
As our Project Coordinator, you will coordinate multiple plumbing projects from commencement through to completion.
You will be responsible for keeping project teams organised, monitoring timelines and costs, coordinating materials and subcontractors, following up outstanding items and ensuring managers and site teams are kept up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple plumbing projects from commencement through to completion
- Maintain project schedules, timelines and key deadlines
- Coordinate plumbers, trades, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Follow up materials, deliveries, purchase orders and supplier requirements
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management
- Review plans, project documentation, quotes, variations and purchase orders
- Assist with progress claims, variations and project invoicing
- Track project costs and support cost control against project budgets
- Liaise with builders, developers, clients and site representatives
- Organise site meetings and follow up outstanding actions
- Maintain accurate project records,
documentation and correspondence
- Identify potential delays or issues and work with the team to resolve them
- Attend project sites when required to coordinate works, meet site personnel and assess project progress
About You
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Project Coordinator who understands commercial plumbing and hydraulic projects and can take ownership of the coordination, documentation and administration required to keep projects moving.
You will ideally have experience with:
- Commercial hydraulic/plumbing projects including apartments, commercial, industrial, aged care or similar
- Reading and interpreting hydraulic, civil and architectural drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples and approvals
- Managing drawing revisions and ensuring site teams are always working from the latest approved documentation
- Procurement, including obtaining supplier quotes, raising purchase orders, tracking long-lead equipment and coordinating deliveries
- Variations, including identifying changes, gathering supporting information, preparing variation documentation and tracking approvals
- Progress claims and project cost tracking, with an understanding of budgets, committed costs and forecast-to-complete
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, builders, consultants and site supervisors
- Maintaining QA documentation, ITPs, inspection records, test records,
compliance documentation and project handover/O&M; manuals
- Using project management and construction systems such as Procore, Aconex, HammerTech, PayApps, Simpro or similar
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to track budgets, actual costs, committed costs and project performance
You will also have:
- Previous experience in project coordination, project administration or a similar role
- Strong organisational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and follow-up skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Confidence communicating with builders, clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The willingness and ability to attend project sites when required

The Details
Position: Plumbing Project Coordinator
Employment: Full-time
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Location: Thomastown, Melbourne
Travel: Project sites across Melbourne as required
Company vehicle: Provided for work-related travel and site visits
