Accountant at Goodman:

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Australian Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the financial management of Goodman partnerships and assets, supporting management reporting, financial and tax compliance, treasury activities, budgeting and forecasting.

n

What you'll be doing

n

Financial Reporting & Accounting

n

n
- Prepare month-end accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations, fee calculations and invoicing.
n
- Assist with monthly and quarterly management reporting for partnership portfolios.
n
- Prepare portfolio analytics and financial performance metrics.
n
- Analyse net property income and outgoings, providing insights into financial performance.
n
- Manage lease accounting activities including customer set-ups, assignments, surrenders and vacancies.
n
- Review bank reconciliations, customer receipts, arrears management and weekly payment runs.
n
- Maintain intercompany loan reconciliations and support cash flow forecasting activities.
n

Compliance & Statutory Reporting

n

n
- Prepare half-year and annual financial statements.
n
- Support the external audit process.
n
- Prepare compliance certificates and reporting requirements for financiers.
n
- Assist with trust distributions, supporting schedules and payment processing.
n
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), tax returns and income tax forecasts.
n




- Maintain partnership records and statutory documentation.
n

Budgeting & Forecasting

n

n
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts across allocated portfolios.
n
- Support the annual outgoings budget process and ongoing performance monitoring.
n
- Assist with financial modelling, board paper preparation and partnership reporting.
n
- Partner with Investment Management and operational stakeholders to provide financial support and analysis.
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.

n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
n
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
n
- 4+ years' experience in accounting, financial reporting or business services.
n
- Experience within a chartered accounting firm, property business or large corporate environment.
n
- Property industry experience will be highly regarded.
n
