About the Role

n

As a Diagnostic Technician, you'll be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring vehicles are maintained to manufacturer standards and delivered back to customers safely and efficiently.

n

You'll work closely with the Workshop Controller, Service Advisors and wider workshop team to identify faults, develop effective repair solutions and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform advanced diagnostics across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
n
- Diagnose complex faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information
n
- Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to manufacturer specifications
n
- Conduct inspections and accurately identify required repairs
n
- Complete diagnostic reports, job cards and technical documentation
n
- Test and verify repairs to ensure faults are fully resolved
n
- Provide technical support and guidance to fellow Technicians where required
n
- Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and workshop safety
n
- Work collaboratively with Service Advisors and Workshop Management
n
- Keep up to date with evolving vehicle technology, diagnostic systems and repair methods
n

About You

n

We're looking for a technically skilled and motivated Technician who takes pride in accurate diagnosis and quality workmanship.

You'll Bring:

n

n
- Automotive trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic/Technician
n
- Proven experience as an Automotive or Diagnostic Technician
n
- Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic diagnostic skills
n
- Advanced fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
n
- Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Ability to interpret technical information and manufacturer specifications
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- Strong time management and ability to work in a fast-paced workshop
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence
n
- Toyota experience will be highly regarded, with exposure to other automotive brands an advantage.
