HC / MC TRUCK DRIVER WITH FORKLIFT LICENCE

Are you an experienced HC/MC driver who takes pride in safe driving, great customer service and getting the job done right?

Due to continued growth in our logistics fleet, Lilydale Instant Lawn is looking for a reliable and professional full-time HC or MC Truck Driver with a forklift licence to join our team.

Based at our Pakenham Farm, you’ll deliver premium turf and fertiliser to customers across Victoria while helping us provide the outstanding service we call the “Lilydale Experience.”

About Lilydale Instant Lawn:

Lilydale Instant Lawn has been Victoria’s leading lawn grower since 1985, servicing domestic, trade and commercial customers.

Our business operates across three farms, with our head office at Yarra Glen and additional farms at Pakenham and our large‑scale, sand‑based Bairnsdale operation.

About the Role:

This is a hands‑on driving role involving customer deliveries, forklift operation and trailer movements between our farms.

Although you’ll be based at Pakenham, you may occasionally be required to assist at our Yarra Glen or Bairnsdale locations. The role also includes trailer hauling between Pakenham and Bairnsdale to collect turf and reload trailers as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

Loading and unloading turf and fertiliser for customer deliveries across Metro Melbourne, Geelong, and the Gippsland region.

Delivering turf safely, efficiently and on time

Providing courteous and professional service to customers

Safely operating forklifts and associated equipment

Completing daily pre‑start inspections using our telematics system

Maintaining current HC/MC and High Risk Work licences

Complying with Chain of Responsibility, road safety and workplace health and safety requirements

Keeping vehicles,



equipment and work areas clean and well maintained

Participating in scheduled toolbox meetings

Hauling trailers between Pakenham and Bairnsdale when required

Assisting at other Lilydale Instant Lawn locations as needed

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

A current Victorian HC or MC driver licence

A current High Risk Work Licence with forklift endorsement

At least two years’ experience driving HC prime movers through Melbourne’s inner and outer suburbs

Practical forklift operating experience

A strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility and workplace health and safety requirements

A safety‑first attitude and commitment to following company procedures

The flexibility to work across different sites when required

Availability to work Saturdays

Clear verbal and written communication skills

The ability to understand and follow instructions

Good problem‑solving skills

The ability to work effectively with employees and customers

Excellent customer service skills and a qualified attitude
