Tecside Group is recruiting an experienced Fire Alarm Inspection & Testing Technician on behalf of a leading fire protection company. This is a great opportunity for a qualified technician to join a team dedicated to protecting lives, property and the environment across commercial, industrial and residential sites.

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

You'll be responsible for the routine inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems in line with AS1851, ensuring the safety and reliability of fire systems across a range of client sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- Inspect, test and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with AS1851
n
- Test smoke and heat detectors, manual call points and control panels
n
- Conduct fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and minor repairs
n
- Perform functional testing on EWIS, WIP and PA/evacuation systems
n
- Inspect and test exit and emergency lighting to AS2293
n




- Inspect passive fire protection measures — fire doors, penetrations, fire-rated walls and ceilings
n
- Accurately document all inspections, test results and corrective actions
n
- Respond to urgent service calls and provide in office emergency support
n

ABOUT YOU

n

n
- Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection & Testing (or equivalent trade qualification)
n
- Experience with fire alarm, EWIS, emergency lighting and passive fire inspections
n
- Solid understanding of AS1851 and other relevant Australian fire safety standards
n
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and report-writing skills
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces and travelling to client sites
n
- FPAS accreditation highly regarded
n
