About the Role

Bayside Health - Regional Care Group is seeking experienced and passionate Perioperative Registered Nurses to join our Operating Suite team at Wonthaggi Hospital. A Perioperative Registered Nurse is required to work as a productive member of the operating suite team under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, is expected to work within their scope of practice and demonstrate a sound level of skills in assessment, care planning,



practice and evaluation in the provision of care to clients and their significant others.

The position will be primarily based at the Wonthaggi hospital.

Successful applicant will

- Maintain an understanding of individual responsibility for patient safety, quality & risk and contribute to organisational quality and safety initiatives.
- Responsibility to demonstrate an understanding of the manual handling requirements of the position.
- To respect the dignity, cultural values and beliefs of patients/residents and significant others in the provision of nursing care.
- Works under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide safe and competent nursing care
- Treat as confidential personal information obtained in a professional capacity
- Compliance with annual competencies
- Comply with all relevant legislation, standards, and organisational policies that govern safe, ethical, and equitable practice within the healthcare environment.

Mandatory Requirements

- We are looking for a energetic, self-motivated and flexible individual with the ability to respond and adapt to change, display empathy, prioritise and problem solve effectively with a positive "can-do" attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Valuable written and oral communication




- Ability to function as a team member
- Willingness to develop both professionally and personally with further education
- Registered Nurse (RN) holding current practicing certificate with AHPRA
- Current Police Check
- Working with Children Check.
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is mandatory as per Secretary Directions and Ministerial Directions 2022
- COVID-19 Vaccination are strongly recommended to remain up to date as per Australian Technical Advisory Group (ATAGI)
