The Role

n

As a Senior/Associate Hydraulic Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality hydraulic services design across a diverse range of building services projects. Based in our Spring Hill office, you'll work closely with our hydraulic team and wider building services group to lead project outcomes from concept through to completion.

You'll lead technical delivery, guide design documentation, coordinate with other disciplines, and build strong client relationships through clear communication and practical, well-considered advice.

This role is ideal for an experienced hydraulic building services engineer ready to step into a senior position, support team development, and help shape the continued growth of our hydraulic capability.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Leading hydraulic services design across a wide range of building services projects

n

Overseeing documentation, design calculations, drawings, and schedules

n





Reviewing design outputs and supporting quality assurance across project deliverables

n

Mentoring engineers and designers within the hydraulic team

n

Coordinating with internal disciplines including mechanical, hydraulic, fire, and structural

n

Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, authorities, and external stakeholders

n

Supporting project planning, resourcing, fee input, and delivery strategy

n

Ensuring designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code

n

Contributing to client relationships, business development, and the growth of the hydraulic team

n

What You'll Bring

n

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification

n

7+ years' experience in hydraulic services design within building services

n

RPEQ or QBCC registration or working towards accreditation

n

Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements, plumbing codes, and hydraulic building services design principles

n

Strong experience in design and documentation of hydraulic systems for buildings, including sanitary plumbing, trade waste, hot and cold water, gas, stormwater, drainage, and fire hydrant/hose reel systems

n

Demonstrated experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs

n

Ability to guide and support junior and intermediate team members

n

Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM environments

n

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising directly with clients and project stakeholders

n

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness
