Job Description

Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced HC Driver to join our Gateshead operations, completing a scheduled Gateshead to Coffs Harbour changeover run.

This role works a set night roster of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, plus every second Wednesday, starting at 7:00 PM, with the prospect to pick up additional ad hoc shifts.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Completing the Gateshead to Coffs Harbour changeover run, returning to Gateshead.
n
- Completing three scheduled customer drops.
n
- Loading and unloading dollies at customer and depot locations.
n
- Reversing to loading docks and roller doors.
n
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers.
n
- Completing load restraint, vehicle checks and required documentation.
n
- Using an Electronic Work Diary (EWD).
n
- Managing fatigue requirements and delivery schedules safely and compliantly.
n

What You'll Bring

- Current HC licence with relevant heavy vehicle driving experience.
n
- Availability to commit to the set night roster.
n
- Confidence reversing, coupling and uncoupling heavy vehicles.
n
- Ability to safely load and unload dollies and complete associated manual handling.

- Sound understanding of load restraint and fatigue management requirements.
n
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused approach.
