We’re working with a leading Australian technology organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its product engineering capabilities and is looking for a Senior Engineer to join an established product team.
This is an opportunity to join during an exciting period of engineering change, with a significant product evolution program underway and plenty of scope to influence the technology, architecture and engineering practices moving forward.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a collaborative engineering team working across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment, production support and continuous improvement.
While the team has strong front-end capability, they are looking to strengthen their backend and DevOps expertise.
You’ll become an important technical contributor across:
- React and modern front-end technologies
- API development and integrations
- Microservices and distributed systems
- AWS cloud services and deployments
- CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines
- Production support and troubleshooting
- Automated testing and software quality
- System design, scalability and resilience
- Technical mentoring and knowledge sharing
What You’ll Bring
We're looking for an experienced software engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across the engineering lifecycle.
You'll ideally have:
- Robust commercial software engineering experience
- Experience with React
- Strong API development experience, including REST and/or GraphQL
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Strong DevOps / CI/CD experience
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform
- Experience with Docker and cloud deployment technologies
- Experience designing and working with microservices
- Strong automated testing practices
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications
- An understanding of secure, scalable and resilient software architecture
- Experience with Python would be beneficial.
