Are you someone who can answer a busy phone, acknowledge a customer walking through the door and keep things moving without appearing flustered?

Chandler Macleod is seeking a polished and professional Showroom Concierge to provide front-of-house support within an established Melbourne-based manufacturer and supplier servicing the building, renovation and interior design space.

Based within a beautifully presented showroom in Bayswater, this role is more than traditional reception. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, trades and visitors while also managing a busy phone line, directing enquiries and supporting the wider sales, logistics and administration teams.

We are initially recruiting for annual leave cover from 30 September to 9 October, however we are also looking to build a small pool of reliable Showroom Concierges who are interested in ongoing casual, ad hoc and short-notice assignments.

About the role

Sitting front-of-house within the showroom, you’ll help create a professional and welcoming experience while keeping day-to-day enquiries moving efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Meeting and greeting customers, visitors and trades entering the showroom
- Managing a high volume of incoming calls and directing enquiries to sales, logistics and administration teams
- Acknowledging and assisting customers while balancing phone and administrative priorities




- Coordinating customer collections and obtaining relevant sign-offs
- Entering and updating information across internal systems
- Using Monday.com for lead and pipeline management
- Using SAP in relation to production orders
- Providing general front-of-house and administrative support to the wider team
- Maintaining a professional, organised and composed showroom environment

About you

We’re looking for someone who understands that great front-of-house service is about more than simply being friendly.

You’ll know how to read the room, communicate professionally and remain composed when several things are happening at once. You can warmly acknowledge a customer while you’re on the phone, prioritise what needs your attention and work alongside a busy team without disrupting their workflow.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Previous experience in reception, concierge, showroom, customer service or administration
- A polished and confident phone manner
- Strong verbal communication and professional presentation
- The ability to manage competing priorities without becoming visibly overwhelmed
- Good judgement and an understanding of skilled workplace etiquette
- A considerate, team-focused approach




- Confidence learning new systems and processes
- Reliable attendance and strong punctuality

Experience with Monday.com or SAP would be advantageous but is not essential.

An interest in interior design, architecture, home renovations, building products or property would also be well suited to the showroom environment.
