Flooring Apprentice / Warehouse & Installation Assistant

The Bendigo Floor and Home Centre – Bendigo VIC

This is a varied, hands on position in a combined Flooring Apprentice, Warehouse & Installation Assistant role. You'll work across both the warehouse and installation side of the business, learning from experienced flooring installers while also becoming an important part of day-to-day warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with the installation of carpet, vinyl and other flooring products
- Learning the skills required to become a qualified flooring installer
- Preparing flooring, materials and equipment for upcoming jobs
- Loading and unloading installer and customer orders
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Preparing orders for customer collections
- Delivering or transporting products when required
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
- General labouring and assisting installation and warehouse teams
- Communicating professionally with customers, builders and other trades

About you





- Holds a current Australian driver's licence & forklift licence
- Reliable and punctual and takes responsibility for their work
- Strong work ethic and not afraid of physical work
- Practical and enjoys working with their hands
- Willing to learn, listen and take direction
- Can use initiative and work independently when required
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Physically capable of lifting and handling flooring products
- Communicates well and presents professionally when working in customers' homes
- Looking for a long-term position and career
