Role Description: The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse is responsible for delivering specialised clinical nursing care to participants with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs. This is a contract, on-site role located in Adelaide, SA, supporting individuals across a variety of home and community care settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing evidence-based care plans, and providing advanced wound and ostomy management. The nurse will monitor healing progress, adjust treatment as required, educate participants, families, and support staff on best practices,



and document all care in line with clinical and regulatory standards. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, participation in care reviews, and adherence to person-centred, culturally safe care principles are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Wound Care, including assessment, dressing selection, and ongoing management.
- Comprehensive skills in Ostomy Care and null Ostomy, including stoma assessment, appliance selection, and self-management education.
- Strong clinical foundation in Nursing, with the ability to deliver complex care in community and disability settings.
- Knowledge of Medicine principles relevant to wound, ostomy, and continence care, including infection control and pharmacological considerations.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (or equivalent) with the relevant Australian regulatory body.
- Experience working with people with disability, chronic conditions, or high clinical needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and clinical decision‑making skills, with a commitment to person-centred care.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a mobile workload across Adelaide, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Current driver's licence, valid working rights in Australia, and compliance with relevant background checks and clearances.
