What’s the role?

Join our team as a Catering Assistant in Ballarat, supporting day-to-day catering operations across food preparation and service. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent hours and a part-time role with the opportunity to work up to 38 hours per week.

- Part time, minimum 30 hours per week, with up to 38 hours often available
- Saturday & Sunday: 6:30am - 2:30pm
- Weekday shifts generally between 6:00am - 3:00pm
- Assist with food preparation and catering service
- Support kitchen and front-of-house operations
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Work as part of a supportive team

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation, including basic meal and sandwich preparation
- Support catering and food service operations
- Maintain clean, hygienic and organised food preparation areas
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver quality service

About You

- Previous hospitality, catering or food service experience




- Flexible and comfortable working across a range of shifts
- Reliable, organised and able to work at pace
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A positive, team-focused attitude

To be successful, you'll need:

- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights (WHV cannot be accepted)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and police checkPrevious hospitality or catering experience
- Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Availability to work Saturday and Sunday, 6:30am - 2:30pm
- Flexibility to work weekday shifts generally between 6:00am - 3:00pm
- Ideally, you will live in or around the Ballarat area
