Transportable Switchroom Project Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing transportable switchroom projects from award through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to client expectations. You will work closely with clients, drafting, procurement, workshop operations and subcontractors to coordinate project delivery, manage commercial outcomes and maintain strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

Maintain compliance with quality, workplace health and safety, environmental policies, procedures and work instructions.

Manage transportable switchroom projects from estimator handover through to final completion and handover.

Review project documentation, specifications, drawings, contracts and scopes of work.

Identify and manage variations between tender submissions and awarded project requirements.

Prepare, price and manage project variations and change requests.

Monitor project costs, schedules and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered profitably and within agreed timeframes.

Develop and maintain project schedules in consultation with production and operational teams.

Coordinate design, drafting, procurement, workshop and subcontractor activities throughout project delivery.





Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Manage purchase orders and procurement activities to support project requirements.

About you

Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, switchroom construction, electrical infrastructure or a similar industry.

Robust understanding of project delivery, budgeting and contract administration.

Experience managing clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.

High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.

Current Driver's Licence.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems.

Transportable switchroom or modular construction experience (highly desirable).

Electrical, engineering or project management qualifications (highly desirable).
