- Great client base. Focus on small – med businesses (mostly companies and trusts) and SMSFs (we have approx. 60 SMSF’s).
- 80% of business clients would have turnover above 500K, with most in the 1-3M turnover range. 20% of clients would be 3M+ turnover. We have a lot of highly profitable clients who are enjoyable to work with.
- Very broad range of industries, no heavy weighting in any one sector.
- We recently did a pruning of our client list to cease engagement with a handful of difficult clients. We remain selective as to who we work for.
- No ITR’s or sole traders unless associated within a larger client group, minimal P’ships.
- A relaxed yet focused attitude. No high pressure budget or WIP meetings. Our office is in the lovely beachside suburb of Thirroul, and we try and bring that relaxed vibe to our workplace.
- Personal welfare and caring for one’s own family is more important than work.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, sole traders and SMSF’s
- Preparation of Interim Accounts in Xero and MYOB for lodgment of BAS




- Pre-June Review -Tax planning advice in liaison with Principal
- Preparation of FBT returns
- NSW Payroll Tax reconciliations and lodgments
- Organising/providing financials for financing facilities
- For some key clients - Quarterly Management Accounting and KPI’
- To be a champion of software advancement and technology, assisting the practice in continual improvement and refinement of accounting processes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

- Accounting Degree
- CPA, CA or similar (or in progress)

Experience Required:

- 4 years’ minimum experience (preferably more);
- in Australian Public Practice
- in a front facing client role
- using the software listed below

Skills:

- Broad ranging accounting, tax, business services
- A natural adopter of recent technology
- Follow through on tasks
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Initiative, enthusiasm and confidence

The applicant must have experience with the following software packages used by 3D:

- MYOB (25-30% of clients still use MYOB for bookkeeping)
- Xero Ledger and Xero Tax (3D software for Fin Stats and Tax Rtns)
