Business Administration & Compliance Coordinator
RECS Group Australia is a family-owned civil construction and environmental rehabilitation contractor based in Young, NSW. We deliver civil earthworks, road construction and maintenance, environmental rehabilitation, wet hire and subdivision projects throughout regional NSW.
We are seeking an organised and dependable Business Administration & Compliance Coordinator to join our team at our Young office.
This is a diverse, hands‑on role supporting the financial, administrative, workforce and compliance functions of the business. The successful applicant will work closely with the General Manager, Director, site supervisors and field personnel to help keep our projects and day‑to‑day operations running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Processing payroll and maintaining accurate employee timekeeping records
General bookkeeping and financial administration using MYOB
Coordinating employee onboarding and maintaining personnel records
Assisting with HR administration and day‑to‑day employee matters
Monitoring HSEQ documentation and compliance requirements
Maintaining project documentation, registers and filing systems
Tracking project costs and assisting with job‑cost reporting
Coordinating timesheets and information with site supervisors and operators
Managing plant, vehicle and fleet registrations
Maintaining records through Deputy, Gearbox and Microsoft 365
Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to general enquiries
Greeting customers, suppliers and visitors
Providing general administrative support to the General Manager and Director
Occasionally travelling to project sites when required
About you
You will be well suited to this position if you are organised, approachable and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
The ideal applicant will have:
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Clear written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion
Confidence communicating with employees, supervisors, customers and suppliers
Good computer skills, particularly across Microsoft 365
A Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one
Experience with MYOB, Deputy, Gearbox, payroll, bookkeeping, HR administration, HSEQ compliance or civil construction administration will be highly regarded but is not essential. Training and support can be provided to the right applicant with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Because this position handles payroll, employee information and company financial records, discretion and confidentiality are essential.
Full‑time position
Monday to Friday roster
Based at our office in Young, NSW
Occasional travel to project sites
Remuneration will be negotiated based on the successful applicant’s experience and capabilities
