This role will be based at one of our metropolitan venues and may be required to travel to work from ACT's metropolitan sites as required.

Key responsibilities

- Reporting to the Director Event Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across public safety and security, working closely with venue and events leaders, internal teams, contractors, Police, emergency services, government agencies and event organisers.

- As the Public Safety and Security Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee security operations across multiple venues and events, ensuring robust systems, processes and people are in place to manage risk and respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.

- You will also work across a dynamic portfolio of venues and events where no two days are the same.

What you need

- If you are a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable leading from the front during a major event, building robust teams and developing systems that make a lasting difference, we would love to hear from you.

- Your experience in leading security operations in public venues, cultural institutions or major events.
n
- Strong knowledge of emergency management, WHS and risk assessment methodologies.
