Babylon Data is seeking experiencedSenior Power Platform Software Engineers to join a small, high-performing delivery environment within an Australian Government organisation.

The successful candidates will develop and enhance enterprise solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform while providing technical leadership, maintaining strong engineering standards and working closely with business stakeholders.

- Working arrangements: Hybrid, with adaptable office and work-from-home arrangements

- Extension options: Two further 12-month extensions
n
- Estimated start date: 5 October 2026, subject to evaluation and notice periods
n
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
n
- Security clearance: Current Baseline clearance required

Canberra-based candidates are strongly preferred. Candidates located outside the ACT may be considered where they can meet the position's working and attendance requirements.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
n
- Build secure and scalable applications using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
n
- Produce high-quality, optimised and maintainable code.
n
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure and other enterprise systems.
n
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software engineers.
n
- Establish and maintain appropriate development, testing and deployment practices.
n
- Conduct code reviews and promote strong software engineering standards.
n
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical and performance issues.
n
- Work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and technical specialists.
n




- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
n
- Contribute to solution design, technical documentation and delivery planning.
n
- Take responsibility for the quality, security and functionality of delivered software.
n
- Support continuous improvement across development processes and platform governance.
n

What you will bring

- Strong practical experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Microsoft Dataverse.
n
- Experience designing, building and supporting enterprise-grade business applications.
n
- Strong software engineering capability, including development standards, source control, testing and deployment.
n
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with APIs, Microsoft 365, Azure or other enterprise platforms.
n
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership within a software development team.
n
- Strong understanding of application security, performance, maintainability and scalability.
n
- Experience working in Agile or multidisciplinary delivery teams.
n
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
n
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
n
- A collaborative approach suited to a small, cohesive and high-performing organisation.
n
- A genuine interest in the organisation's mission and operating environment.
n
- A current Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
n

Experience with Power Platform governance, environment management, application lifecycle management, Azure DevOps, Dynamics 365, custom connectors, plugins or PCF components will be highly regarded.
