At our Glenorie manufacturing site, we produce veterinary therapeutic and nutraceutical products within a regulated environment. We are now looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our day-to-day manufacturing activities and support the continued development of our production team.

n

About the role

n

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating production planning and shop-floor execution across our manufacturing and packaging operations.

n

You will translate production priorities into achievable work plans, ensure people, materials and equipment are ready, and support the team to deliver safe, compliant and reliable production outcomes.

n

Working closely with Quality, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering and Maintenance, you will help manage operational constraints, maintain GMP compliance and drive practical improvements across the site.

n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Lead daily manufacturing and packaging activities to achieve the approved production schedule
n
- Develop and maintain achievable weekly and monthly production plans
n
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and production capacity
n
- Ensure production areas are appropriately staffed with trained and competent employees
n
- Create, release, maintain and close production work orders within JDE or the applicable ERP system




n
- Monitor production progress and address material, quality, equipment, capacity and delivery risks
n
- Provide clear direction, coaching and support to Production Group Leads and Production Operators
n
- Coordinate employee onboarding, training, cross-skilling and competency development
n
- Ensure production activities and documentation comply with GMP, APVMA requirements and approved site procedures
n
- Support deviations, investigations, CAPA, change control, validation and audit activities
n
- Monitor performance measures including schedule adherence, output, yield, downtime, waste and right-first-time results
n
- Lead practical 5S and continuous-improvement initiatives
n
- Promote a safe, respectful and accountable working environment
n

About you

n

You are an experienced production leader who is comfortable balancing people, production priorities, quality requirements and changing operational demands.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical, veterinary pharmaceutical, medical device, food, chemical or another regulated manufacturing environment
n
- Demonstrated experience managing production operations, employees,



resources and manufacturing schedules
n
- Practical working knowledge of GMP requirements
n
- Experience managing batch documentation, deviations, CAPA and change control
n
- Experience developing production plans and managing manufacturing work orders
n
- Previous responsibility for employee performance, training and competency development
n
- Experience using an ERP or manufacturing planning system
n
- Sound knowledge of WHS requirements within a manufacturing environment
n
- Solid planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills
n
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across different operational functions
n

n

Experience using JDE and a relevant tertiary qualification in pharmaceutical manufacturing, science, engineering, supply chain or operations management would be highly regarded.

n

Experience with audits, validation, equipment qualification, Lean manufacturing or 5S would also be beneficial.
